The project area comprises a large area covering metamorphic and various igneous intrusive rocks of the Rudall Complex. Outcrop is poor with much of the tenure area being obscured by sands of the Great Sandy Desert.

Previous exploration in the area has focussed primarily on searches for uranium mineralisation, mostly utilising airborne remote sensing techniques. No significant mineralisation has previously been located. Recent re-evaluation of existing radiometric data has however defined several significant uranium radiometric anomalies worthy of follow up.

A unique occurrence of polymetallic vein mineralisation occurs at Copper Hills less than 5 kilometres to the south of the Talisman leases. This occurrence contains spectacular bonanza concentrations of metals to 31% copper, 3.5% silver, 2300g/t gold, 3400g/t platinum and 4900g/t palladium.

Although too small to be economic, this occurrence attests to strong mineralising processes having been present in the area.

The Copper Hills polymetallic vein is situated within and controlled by a northwest striking fault which continues into the Talisman leases. Other similarly orientated faults are also interpreted within the project area.

Exploration completed to date has involved completion of a ground gravity survey which has defined a large gravity anomaly. This anomaly is interpreted as possibly reflecting a buried mafic intrusive complex some 20 kilometres in length, 70% of which is situated within the Talisman leases. The interpreted mafic igneous complex has potential for magmatic nickel – copper – platinum group element (PGE) mineralisation.
