Text Box: Talisman Mining Ltd 100% The Wandanya project is situated in the east Pilbara manganese field, approximately 20km southwest of the Consolidated Minerals Ltd Woodie Woodie manganese operations. Initial reconnaissance exploration at Wandanya has indicated significant potential for high-grade manganese mineralisation. Reconnaissance of projected northerly extensions of the Marra Mamba Iron Formation was successful in locating thin iron formation but also, and more significantly, located small scattered outcrops of manganese mineralisation to 65% manganese in the same strike projection. - Figure 1 : Wandanya Project Rockchip Sampling. Outcrop samples collected from small, low sub-crops appear, in at least two instances, to be very unusual, for the East Pilbara Manganese Field, in the very high manganese grades (>60% Mn) and absence of iron (below detection). In the previous substantial exploration history of the field no samples have previously been reported of such high grade, and previous samples always contain appreciable (>2%) iron. Initial exploration at Wandanya has indicated excellent potential for the definition of a significant manganese resource. Drill evaluation of the manganese occurrence will commence immediately upon grant of the underlying tenement.
