Yilgalong is a recently pegged tenement situated in the east Pilbara region, approximately 90km northeast of Nullagine. This remote, difficult to access area was acquired to test a concept for gold mineralisation in the largely previously unexplored northeast Hamersley Basin.

A small enclave of previously unexplored Archaean greenstone occurs near the centre of the project area.

Previous exploration in the area has largely been restricted to the south and west of the current project area where high-grade gold mineralisation is associated with quartz veining in granite in the historic Boodalyerrie Goldfield. Some of thes high-grade gold lodes encroach onto the south of the project area where previous explorer Plenty River Mining Company NL reported grades to 68g/t gold and 1030g/t silver. Limited sampling of a nearby quartz vein in Hamersley Basin volcanics returned up to 1.4g/t gold and 6.9% Cu.

Exploration completed to date has involved the completion of stream sediment geochemistry over accessible portions of the tenement. This survey has defined several moderate anomalies, most notably at Boodalyerrie East, Boodalyerrie North and Yilgalong Creek - Figure 1 : Yilgalong Stream Sampling - Gold.

The Company believes this largely unexplored area has good potential for the discovery of volcanogenic associated base and precious metal mineralisation.
